Databases/Indexes
MathSciNet
— a comprehensive database of mathematical literature since
1940 maintanted by the AMS.
It provides both bibliographic information and reviews. Be sure
to consult the Mathematical
Subject Classification. (NDSU Only)
Mathematical Reviews — contains
much of the same content as MathSciNet in paper form (shelved
in the reference area Call Number: QA1 .M76).
Current Contents indexes thousands
of journals in all disciplines. It is updated weekly, so it is
the best place to look for the most current information. Coverage
at NDSU includes 1996 through present. You would be wise to check
it when you begin to wrap up your thesis or dissertation. When
searching this database, remember that it indexes journals in
all disciplines, which may effect your search results. (NDSU
Only)
JSTOR —
provides access to eleven Mathematics journals. See the JSTOR
Mathematics information sheet for a title list and more information.
(NDSU Only)

with the Los Alamos National Laboratory), which contains links
to e- and pre-prints dating back to 1991. (UC Davis has an alternate
search interface.)
Mathematics
Preprint Server — A preprint server hosted by Elsevier.
Contains preprints in pure and applied mathematics, and statistics
and probability.
MPRESS
(The Mathematics Preprint Search System) — an index to preprints
hosted elsewhere.
