The Libraries have sent me a notice, what does it mean?

  • Overdue Notice
An overdue notice is sent to remind you that items you have checked-out need to be renewed or returned.
  • Recall Notice
The item in the notice has been recalled by another patron. You need to return the item within five days. If you fail to return it within the five days you will be charged a $1.00 per day until you return it.
  • Block Notice
A block notice is sent when you have failed to return overdue items or have reached the maximum fine amount of $20.00. A block indicates that your library account is unuseable until you either return the items or pay the fine.
