    Books

    A book on a particular company will include comprehensive information on the company including the history of the company, the products developed and marketed, and the company philosophy and management style.

    To search for books on a particular company, use the Keyword function and search by the name of the company. If NDSU does not own the title you want, click on the Submit ILL Request bar at the top of the screen and request the book through interlibrary loan.

    Journal Articles

    Journal articles on companies provide information on current performance, product diversification, restructuring and mergers, stock prices and performance, expansion, human resources (labor unions), pending/final lawsuits, marketing strategies, new products or any other information that could possibly be published in journal articles on your particular company.

    Contains complete financial information about companies including company history, proposed sales, business overview, property, joint ventures, subsidiaries, officers, income statement and balance sheet, long-term debt, line of credit and shares in capital and common stock. Find the company by using the alphabetical index in the blue pages at the very beginning of each volume.

    Standard and Poors Industry Surveys

    Information on key industry ratios and statistics for individual companies within an industry as well as overall industry climate and changes. To find information on a particular company, look in the Index to Companies, which is filed at the beginning of the Industry Survey box. The index will direct you to the Industry Survey and the page number of company information within any particular industry.

    Value Line Investment Survey

    One page composites of the overall financial health of a company within an industry including statistical history and future projections. Value Line is divided into three sections:

    1. Summary and Index
    2. Selection and Opinion
    3. Ratings and Reports

    To find information on a company, locate the industry on page 1 of the Summary and Index and turn to the page listed in the Ratings and Reports section to locate company/industry information.
