Healthy Roads Media Training Sessions
Each person has his or her own way of learning, and we tend to teach the way we like to learn. What about those clients that learn in ways that are different from our own style? What do we need to be aware of to make sure our clients learn what we want them to learn? In this section we will explore various learning styles and share some tips for recognizing and addressing these styles.
2. Heath Information Sources on the Internet
It is estimated that less than 10% of the information on the Internet is accurate, quality information. What criteria can we share with clients to help them tell the difference between high and low quality health information Web sites? What known sites are available that will help eliminate the guess work?
3. Local Resources for Health Information
This section contains the results of our survey of local information agencies to find out what might be available to staff and clients in the area of consumer health information as well as access to computers. These agencies include health science libraries, university/college libraries, and local public libraries.
