Photocopying and/or using unpublished materials

Photocopying and/or using unpublished materials falls under the same regulations of photocopying published materials.

As part of the 1976 Copyright Act, Congress issued copyright guidelines on making photocopies for research or teaching purposes. These guidelines are not legally binding, but they are intended to help faculty determine how to comply with fair use. Please see the Copyright Clearance Center's The Campus Guide to Copyright Compliance: Classroom Guidelines for the list of guidelines.

View the Fair Use section and the Guidelines for Faculty section for more information.
