Unpacking on the Prairie: Jewish Women in the Upper Midwest

Many of the images and quotes in this exhibit come from Jewish families who settled in North Dakota. "For Jewish women immigrating to the U.S. in the 1880s, making a new home meant more than hanging up clothes, dusting off dishes, and buying new furniture ..." The exhibit was developed by the Jewish Historical Society of the Upper Midwest.
