Although ‘Aerials’ is technically not a subject category, it is a type of image that is often requested by researchers. The Institute does not have extensive aerial images, nor a separate collection of aerial views. Those it does have are retained usually within the collection of which they were a part when donated. Most of its holdings document the Fargo, N.D.- Moorhead, Minn. area.
Also included in the Aerials section are elevated views, particularly of towns, popularly called "Bird's-eye views."
