Description: Elevated view of part of the town of Hickson, N.D., showing the depot and a moving train with smoke pouring from the engine. Across from the depot are four businesses, including Bergstrom Brothers General Merchandise, T.T. Kinneberg Fruit and Confectionery, and J.A. Blegen General Merchandise. There are several horse-drawn buggies parked beside the wood boardwalk in front of these stores. A sign by the road in the lower right corner reads "Look out for cars." In the background to the horizon are fields, some with what appears to be grain shocks.

Postmarked Aug. 26, 1910, addressed to Mrs. Earl Hutchison, Abercrombie, N.D.
Depot destroyed by fire Feb. 2, 1919. In 1920 a new depot was built and used until 1973. It was later moved to the grounds of the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion, Rollag, Minn. in 1985 (Memories of Bygone Years, 34:131, 1990)
