Growing up at Christine, N.D. Eva Gunderson began her teaching career in 1938 in central North Dakota after graduating from the Moorhead Teachers College. After retiring from teaching in 1978 she began a second career as a writer and historian. Her collection of papers, including diaries and letters, were used to write her memoirs.
