This collection of church histories consists of written historical sketches, directories, and small booklets.  More substantial, published church histories are cataloged and placed in the Institute book collection.

This collection does contain a few Moorhead and Clay County, Minnesota church histories.  The collection is arranged alphabetically by community.  The Minnesota items are listed at the end of this finding aid.  Each listing gives the name of the church, date of publication if known, and a letter to signify whether a directory (D), newspaper or magazine article (N), booklet (B), or typescript (T).
