Walter J. Maddock, raised on a farm near Northwood, N.D., was active
in Nonpartisan League politics, served in the North Dakota Legislature
and also served as governor upon the death of A.G. Sorlie. This small
collection of personal papers highlights his young adult life on the
farm through a scrapbook and diary. The collection contains only several
items related to his political career.
