The Institute has collected and preserved a number of collection related to organizations devoted to the study of nature and the weather. The Institute continues to collect and to solicit the records of organizations and the papers of people who were and are interested in the study of nature and the weather.

Association of North Dakota Geographers (Mss 267)
The Association was organized in 1947 to stimulate interest in geography in North Dakota and improve the teaching of geography.

Lake Agassiz Rock Club(Accession 2592, unprocessed)
Fargo-Moorhead club devoted to the study of rock, and includes meeting minutes, newsletter and other records.

North Dakota State Federation of Garden Clubs (Mss 271)
Records of state organization devoted to gardens and gardening.

U.S. Weather Service, Breckenridge and Moorehead Stations, Records, 1872-1905, 1911, 1919 (Mss32)
The records of the first weather service station in western Minnesota and one of the earliest in the nation.
