William A. Falconer

William A. Falconer was born at Hawksburough, Ontario on February 26, 1859.  In 1873 he moved to Bismarck, N.D. and clerked in his brother-in-law’s store from 1873 to 1885 when he was appointed deputy register of deeds for Burleigh County.  Falconer served as Register of Deeds (1891), deputy county treasurer (1895), county treasurer (1901-1905) and Bismarck city assessor (1920-1930).

The Falconer papers consist of four homemade, string-tied booklets containing the handwritten writings of Mr. Falconer.
