Don
J. Clark Sr. was born at Burlington, Vermont on June 4, 1852. In
1870 Clark moved to Rochester, Minnesota and in 1880 he went to Fort Abercrombie,
Dakota Territory where he squatted on land one mile north of the fort.
The collection contains correspondence, subject files and scrapbooks.
The two scrapbooks contain clippings about the family members and events
in the Richland County area. There are also a number of historical
articles on Pioneer days in Abercrombie.
