The Fargo Lions Club was founded in 1921 as a community service organization. The extensive records of the local club detail the activities of one of the first service clubs in the Fargo area. Through various fund-raising projects the club has been able to support numerous local causes, including Boy Scout troups, a Fargo Teacher of the Year award, guide dogs and the donation of used prescription glasses.
