Carl
and Linda Elofson, north Fargo residence were among the primary group
responsible for CORP's establishment. It's purpose was to oppose the
construction of a bridge over the Red River from 12th Avenue N in Fargo
to 15th Avenue North in Moorhead. It also fought the construction of
a four lane highway between I-29 in Fargo to Highway 75 in Moorhead.
Although not successful in stopping the construction of a bridge, it
was a smaller structure built by a private party.
