 Bruce Furness served as mayor of Fargo from 1994 to his retirement in 2006. Fargo saw much growth during his tenure and a number of important issues arose. These files were identified by the mayor's staff for deposit. Among the more substantial files are the annexation dispute between Fargo and West Fargo; the floods of 1997, 2000 and 2001; Main Avenue bridge; F-M Redhawks baseball stadium; and the Ten Commandments monument issue.
