Jules Lebrun was born at Langdon, ND on October 25, 1903.  Lebrun farmed in North Dakota and eventually purchased his father's farm and farmed the land until his retirement in 1965.

The journals contain an extremely detailed account of all farm income and expenses of Mr. Lebrun as well as his diary entries for each day's activities.  The collection also contains photocopies of receipts and bills from the originals in the family's possession.  They document major machinery purchases made by Mr. Lebrun from 1937 to 1975.
