This organization began in 1927 as the Community Welfare Association, the first organization to coordinate a community wide effort to help meet the human service needs in the Fargo, N.D. area.

The records of the United Way of Cass-Clay consist of meeting minutes, annual reports, newspaper clippings, correspondence and an extensive series of scrapbooks.
