North Dakota Federation of Women's Clubs Pioneer Mother Project Records contains information
on women who lived in North Dakota prior to statehood in 1889. The project began in 1929 and
continued until at least 1953. The data, microfilmed by the State Historical Society of North
Dakota, where the originals are housed, is arranged by complete and incomplete biographies.

Reel 1 contains an
incomplete alphabetical index which is also available in printed form in the Institute Research
Room. The biographical sketches are now indexed and part of the
North Dakota Biography Index.
