Main Library extends hours

Need to print a paper or check out a book before your 8 am class? We can help you with that. Beginning Thursday, January 30, the Main Library will open at 7:30 am on weekdays. The Circulation Desk, GoPrint, and computer clusters will be available at that time. The Interlibrary Loan department will open at 8, and the Reference Desk will continue to begin services at 9.

Monthly Speaker Series: North Dakota Beautiful

Have you wondered how climate change is projected to affect North Dakota? Dr. Adnan Akyüz will be at the Main Library to discuss facts, myths and misconceptions about North Dakota’s climate and its place within climate change.

Dr. Akyüz is the North Dakota state climatologist and an NDSU assistant professor of soil science. He is also director of the North Dakota Agricultural Weather Network, in which he oversees the operation of the agricultural network of 72 automated weather stations.

Libraries raise money for United Way of Cass-Clay

The Libraries have joined in NDSU's annual United Way fundraising campaign. Michael Robinson, Interim Associate Director of the Libraries, agreed to dye his hair the color of the staff's choice if Libraries' employees raised more than $816 dollars (one dollar per pay period for each library employee). The staff donated a total of $823, and voted that Mike should dye his hair purple.

De-stress at the Main Library during 24/7 hours

The Main Library is a great place to study and to take study breaks during Dead Week and finals. We have a lot planned, including:

  • Therapy dogs on Thursday, December 12 at 5pm
  • Midnight snacks on December 10, 11, 16, and 18
  • Puzzles, coloring pages, crosswords, and sudoku available throughout 24/7
  • A candy fairy during the overnight hours

24/7 hours are made possible by the support of the Blue Key Honor Society. We hope to see you here!
