Journey to the Homeland Tours

Please note: Reservations will be made for the best connecting flight from your city of departure. You will be notified for flight information and reservations.

If you wish to supply any additional information about yourself that will be helpful in making arrangements, please include this material on a separate sheet of paper. The names of your ancestors from each village, or whether you, your parents, grandparents, or great grandparents were born in the village will be helpful.

General Terms For Tour

Cost: The full cost of the tour is $4,850 U.S. per person double occupancy, first and second payment of $1,500 U.S. is due upon registration by 1 December 2008. Second payment of $1,500 U.S. is due on 1 February 2009. The final payment of $1,850 U.S. per person is due by no later than 1 April 2009. Single supplement for hotel room requires an additional $300 U.S.

Air transportation

Economy class international service via scheduled Northwest/KLM Airlines and Czech Airlines.

Baggage

Each traveler is permitted two checked bags and one carry on piece. Final baggage details will be sent to you later.

Passports and Visas

You need to have a valid U.S. passport that extends beyond July, 2009. Visas are no longer required for travel to Ukraine and Moldova.

Substitutions

Tour activities are subject to change and replacement with similar activities as timing and availability may require.

Cancellation and refund

Should a reservation need to be canceled because of personal reasons of a tour member, a full refund less a $300 U.S. administrative fee will be made for a tour cancellation received on or before 1 March 2009.

Transportation, sightseeing, or any other services in connection with the itineraries of the individual tour members who by acceptance thereof, agree that the sponsoring organization and/or their agents, employees, and suppliers shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity, liability or expense to person or property due to any act of default by any carrier, hotel, restaurant or other contractor rendering or providing service.

Further, the operator and/or their agents and suppliers accept no responsibility for any damage, delay, or irregularity, expense or liability arising from sickness, pilferage, labor disputes, machinery breakdown, quarantine, government restraints, war weather conditions, defect in any vehicle or transportation or for any misadventure or casualty or any other cause beyond their control. Any and all losses and expenses will be borne by the tour members, the tour rates being only for the time period and the laws of the country in which these accommodations, services, and facilities are rendered. The right is reserved to cancel or change itineraries or substitute services without notice and to decline to accept or retain tour member at any time.

All rates are based on current tariffs and exchange rates in effect at the time of printing and are subject to change due to currency changes or drop in number of participants. The airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not aboard their aircraft. The tickets and coupons, insured by the airline when issued shall constitute the sole contract between airlines and the tour member purchaser.

*Round trip airfare between USA or Canada airport to Frankfurt, Germany via Northwest/KLM Airlines

*Round trip airfare between Frankfurt - Odessa, Ukraine / Odessa - Prague - Stuttgart, Germany via Czech Airlines Prague, Czech Republic

*Transportation to and from Odessa airport to Odessa hotel

*Bus transportation in Odessa

*Transportation to and from Stuttgart Airport to hotel in Stuttgart, Germany

*All lodging including breakfast, lunch, dinner and boxes lunches for villages at Odessa hotel (22-26 May 2008)

*Transportation to former German villages including traslator

*All lodging including breakfast buffet at Stuttgart hotel (26 - 30 May 2008)

*Admission to; Landsmannschaft der Deutschen aus Russland (Stuttgart) and Heimatmuseum der Deutschen aus Bessarabien (Stuttgart)

*Color photo of tour group sent after the tour

Items not included with tour:

* Travel medical insurance (required)

* Laundry, bottled water, and other personal items

* Optional bus tour from Stuttgart, Germany to Alsace, France

* Lunch and dinner in Stuttgart

* Miscellaneous tips in hotel, drivers, etc. for Odessa, German villages, Stuttgart and Alsace
