John M. Lipp married Eva Baumgartner in June
1923 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, Krasna, Emmons County,
ND, seven miles west of Strasburg. The Lipp family originated
at Joehlingen, Baden, 1727, immigrating in 1808 to Elsass, Kutschurgan
District. Both bride and groom had Baumgartner ancestors from

| As Volhynian Lutheran immigrants to Milwaukee
area, Emma Ihde and Julius Swanke are regal on their wedding
day, June 29, 1911, at Peshtigo, Wisconsin. In 1913 they homesteaded
south of Tower City, ND. Julius Swanke, son of Wilhelm Swanke
and Paulina Konrad, was born August 17, 1887 in Novogrod, Volhynia,

time" for the traditional Lutheran wedding of Christian J. Hoffman
and Marie Siewert, 1936, at Kodschalak, Dobrudscha, (Romania).

was taken at Ipswich, South Dakota on November 23, 1914 . |
Jacob Schlecht, Jr. and Christina Rudolf were
married with Lutheran vows on June 27, 1919 in Vananda, Montana,
later living at Jud, ND. Jacob was born in 1896 in Friedenstal,
Bessarabia, son of Jacob Schlecht and Barbara Vogel. Christina
was daughter of Peter Rudolf and Katherina Walth. Descendants
of Friedrich Schlecht Family by Wilbur Schlecht, 1998. Institute
