Alma Janke Schott prepares Christmas Tea Ring and Lebkuchen Christmas Cookies

Alma Schott is a native of Gackle, North Dakota, where she is well known for her German-Russian cooking and her cakes for weddings and other events.

Alma prepares the dough for the Lebkuchen. Alma places the topping on top of each Lebkuchen.
Alma breaks eggs for the Christmas Tea Ring recipe Alma and her friend, Herbert Herman, Sr., both living at Gackle, ND. Herbert visited his ancestral German villages near Odessa, Ukraine in June, 2000.
Alma shows her finished Christmas Tea Ring. Alma displays her favorite Christmas pastries.
