Trixie, My Shetland Pony
By Dr. Edward Keller, Illustrations by David Christy, self-published,
Dickinson, North Dakota, 2005, 60 pages, hardcover
The Germans from Russia Heritage Collection is pleased to provide
this book by Dr. Edward Keller as part of the Early Dakota Prairie
Series. The other books are My
Mother's Apron and My
First Grade Years.
Trixie, My Shetland Pony shares memories of Ed's first
pony. Picture yourself riding, playing and taking care of your very
own horse. Each day brought something new to your experience of
learning on the prairie. He has summer days riding Trixie through
the stock pond and shares how the pony is a comfort on those cold
winter days. Keller once again weaves a memory story of his first
horse, Trixie, along with all of the events that make this an exceptional
experience for the young reader.
