The Germans from Russia Heritage Collection is pleased to provide this impressive book of the 100th Anniversary for St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek, ND. The book includes extensive parish information, photographs, and historical data. Many of the families as members of St. Luke Lutheran Church are of Germans from Russia ancestry many with roots to the Black Sea German Glückstal District villages with the mothers colonies of Bergdorf, Glückstal, Kassel and Neudorf of South Russia, today located in near Odessa, Ukraine and in Moldova, as well as, the Bessarabian German villages.

The section, "Am Anfang" (In the Beginning) provides excellent documentation and history. beginnings. From the book, Along the Trails of Yesterday, by Nina Farley Wishek, is provided "A Personal Glimpse of Yesterday".

The John S. Wolf Farmstead. The site of the first church services in what was to become St. Luke Lutheran Church. The farm was located three and a half miles east of present day Wishek.
