The Germans from Russia Heritage Collection is pleased to provide this valuable North Dakota church publication St. Joseph's, Mandan, North Dakota: 1881 - 1981.

The publication includes a section of "Early History: Indians, Forts, and Railroad"; "Important Dates in the History of St. Joseph's Parish"; and "St. Joseph's Church and Rectory, 1881". There are many historical photographs included.

St. Joseph's Parish includes many Germans from Russia with ancestral roots to the Catholic Beresan District Black Sea German villages, South Russia, today near Odessa, Ukraine. These villages include: Halbstadt, Karlsruhe, Kathariental, Landau, München, Rastadt, Speier, and Sulz. A map relating to these villages has been produced by the Germans from Russia Heritage Collection.
