St. Joseph's Parish includes many Germans from Russia with ancestral roots to the Catholic Beresan District Black Sea German villages, South Russia, today near Odessa, Ukraine. These villages include: Halbstadt, Karlsruhe, Kathariental, Landau, München, Rastadt, Speier, and Sulz.
