des Großliebental Rayons bei Odessa, by Eduard Mack of Ravensburg,
Germany.
The book begins with an overview of the history of Germans of
the Volga, Mennonites, Black Sea, Volhynia, and German colonies
by Odessa. The village of Großliebental includes much detail from
pages 23 to 46 including the houses, church, school, farms, agriculture,
and handwork. Mack includes excellent coverage of the administration
of the colonies, the time after World War I, the October Revolution,
and life during World War II.
There is detailed coverage including many lists of villagers,
photographs, and maps of each of the Liebental colonies: Großliebental,
Kleinliebental, Alexanderhilf, Neuburg, Mariental, Josephstal, Peterstal,
Freudental, Franzfeld, Karlstal, and Lenintal.
