Martin Sasse born 6 October 1858 at Alt Elft, Bessarbia, died 11 May 1939 at Golden Valley, ND a son Johann & Rosina (Habelmann) Sasse. Martin Sasse came to ND 1903 with 7 children, 2nd wife, Maria (Quast) Hinsz & 4 stepchildren.

Mrs. Christoph (Justina Franz) Sommerfeld was born 27 Sept 1847 at Paris, Bessarabia to Johann & Louise (Bader) Franz. She married 27 December 1868. They were parents of 9 children but only 3 lived to adulthood. Christoph died 5 February 1905. Justina came to America in 1908 with her daughter, Salome Unrath & family & lived with them the rest of her life.

Taken about 1912. Grandmother Justina (Franz) Sommerfeld with 2 of her 4 born grand children, John Sommerfeld 1906 1979 & Margarete Unrath 1908 1986.

Taken about 1912. Anna Louisa (Ulrich) Sommerfeld Bich born 1870 1948 came to ND with her husband, Michael Sommerfeld (1876 1908) in 1904. He was killed in a fight with his neighbors at Streeter, ND in 1908. They had 3 children, Edward 1901 1967, Martha 1903 1983 & John 1906 1979. Widow remarried widower, John Bich 15 December 1908. They lived at Hebron where he worked for the railroad, then Missoula, Mt.

Andreas & Maria (Hintz) Schielke & 2 children from Atmagea, Dobrogea. Rumania stayed behind as youngest son to care for his aging parents, Christoph & Christine (Feighner) Schielke while 2 sisters & older brother with families came to ND.

Family picture of Heinrich (1853 1943) & Amalia (Schielke) (1860 1936) Streibel carne to ND in 1887. They settled in Wells County, ND. Parents of Renata, 1886-1945, Albertine 1888-1970, Paulina 1890-1965, Rheinhold 1892-1956, Bertha 1894-1983 & Martha 1896-1982. Son, Rheinhold Streibel & grandson, Bryce Streibel was well known in ND politics.
