They came to Clayton, SD Hutchinson County fall 1874. She married early 1875 Jacob Huber. They were the parents of 11 sons & 5 daughters of which 8 lived to adulthood.

Taken about 1907 Jacob Stephen "Steve" Huber born 17 May 1876 in Armstrong County Dakota Territory oldest son to Jacob & Elizabeth (Stern) Huber. Steve died 31 May 1914 Krem, ND, grave is unmarked. He was married twice & the father of 4 children, all deceased. Northern part of Hutchinson County was called Armstrong until 1880.

Taken about 1907 of Pauline Wiedenmeyer born 19 April 1885, died 1 April 1908 Krem, ND. 2nd wife of Jacob Stephen "Steve" Huber, married 4 February 1902. Her parents; Joseph & Christiana (Tesky) Wiedenmeyer, all buried in Mercer County, ND.

Taken about 1907 of John & Emelia (Knittel) Huber married 5 Nov. 1907. John (1885-1953) son of Jacob & Elizabeth (Stern) Huber. Emelia (1890 1954) daughter of Jacob & Magdalena (Herrmann) Knittel. John Huber's farmed north of Beulah, ND. No children but adopted a girl, Alma 1923-1996.

Taken about 1907 of Mattias (1878 1911) & Rosina (1884 1962) (Richau) Huber married 12 February 1905. Parents of 4 children, all deceased. Matt Huber was a farmer north of Beulah, ND. His parents; Jacob & Elizabeth (Stern) Huber. Her parents Kornelius & Katharina (Goetz) Richau. Widow remarried John Renner 29 November 1911.

Louisa (Huber) Kruckenberg born 26 March 1884 Freeman, Hutchinson County, Dakota Territory married 5 December 1901 at St. Peter Lutheran, Expansion, ND by Rev. Engelder to Gottlieb Kruckenberg . Mother of 17 children, died of cancer at age 43 leaving 15 children, on 25 January 1928. Close up of Image 15.

Gottlieb, Sr. & Dorothea (Habelmann) Kruckenberg came to America Dec. 1888, settling north of Hazen, ND. Gottlieb was born 27 Nov. 1847 at Alt Arzis, Bessarabia married 1 Dec. 1867 to Dorothea. She was born 6 February 1847 at Alt Elft, Bessarabia. As newlyweds they went to Benkendorf, Bessarabia where their 6 children were born.
