Kevin
McCaul received his Bachelor's in psychology from Southern Methodist
University (Dallas) in 1972, his Master's in social psychology
(1975) and Doctorate also in social psychology (1978) from the
University of Kansas (Lawrence). He joined the NDSU faculty in
1978 as an Assistant Professor of Psychology. From 1985-1991 he
was Chair of the Psychology Department. He served as interim dean
for the College of Human Development and Education as it went
through its transition from the College of Home Economics in 1992-1993.
He also served as interim dean for the College of Science and
Mathematics in 1998-2000. In 2000 he returned to his position
as professor of Psychology. From 2003-2004 he was a Visiting Scientist
at the National Cancer Institute.
He has received numerous awards, including the 2005 Chamber of Commerce NDSU Distinguished Professor; The Dale Hogoboom Presidential Endowed Professorship (2001-2003); The 1990 Faculty Lectureship; as well as the College of Science and Mathematics Dean's Award for Distinguished Research, Instruction, and Service (1988-1989).
