In 1958 he completed pre-pharmacy training at Randolph-Macon College (Ashland, VA). He received his bachelor's in pharmacy in 1970 from the Medical College of Virginia and his PhD in pharmacy administration from the University of Mississippi in 1970.
Prior coming to NDSU, he was Director of the Health Services Research Center at the University of Iowa . He has been a member of the faculty of the University of Iowa since 1969. Prior to Iowa he was an Instructor in Pharmaceutics and Pharmacy Administration at the University of Mississippi from 1967-1968. He was also a Product Development Pharmacist at A.H. Robins Co., Inc., Williamsburg, VA from 1963-1967.
He resigned in November of 1986 to become the Founding Dean of the Southeastern College of Pharmaceutical Sciences in North Miami Beach, Florida. |
