Clifton Miller was born at Davenport, Washington, on July 7, 1913. He earned his bachelor's in pharmacy (1935), his master's in pharmaceutical chemistry (1936), and his doctorate in pharmaceutical chemistry (1939), all from the University of Washington. He came to NDAC in 1939 as an Instructor in Pharmacy and was promoted to Professor of Pharmacy in 1941. He served as an Organic Chemist, with the rank of Captain, United States Army, Chemical Warfare Service, from 1941-1945. He returned to NDAC in 1945. In 1955 he was appointed Dean, with the retirement of William Sudro. Dr. Miller served as Dean until his retire in 1970. His family had purchased a drug store at Moses Lake (Washington) in 1966 and he was in charge of the pharmacy section from 1970 to 1979. |
