William Sudro was born November 15, 1884 in Elyria, Ohio . He received his bachelor's in pharmacy from the University of Michigan in 1906 and his master of science from the University of Wisconsin in 1919.
Joined NDAC in 1907 as an Instructor in pharmacognosy and rose to Professor in 1911. In 1919 he was appointed Head of the Division of Pharmacology and he became Dean of the School of Pharmacy in 1926. From 1935-1937 he was Associate Dean, Division of Applied Arts and Sciences. In 1937 he was made Dean of the School of Pharmacy. He also was a Chemist for the Regulatory Department of North Dakota from 1907-1919.
He received Blue Key's Doctor of Service Award in May 1955, was awarded an honorary doctorate from NDAC on June 6, 1955. Also in June of 1955 he was honored at the annual convention of the North Dakota Pharmaceutical Association with a new Packard automobile.
