David Worden was born in 1924 and received his Ph.D. from Iowa State in 1956. In addition to serving as Acting Dean of the College of Home Economics from 1970-1972, Dr. Worden maintained his position as Vice President for Academic Affairs at NDSU. He came to NDSU in 1967 as Chairman of the Physics Department. Prior to coming to NDSU, he was Manager, Electron and Image Device Department, Electro-Optical Systems, Inc. (a subsidiary of Xerox Corporation). He left NDSU in 1979 to become Director of University Relation, General Electric Corporate Research and Development Center, Schenectady, New York.
