		Lucile Horton was born in 1891 and received both her Bachelor's (1924) and her Master's (1926) from the University of Minnesota. Prior to coming to NDAC in 1929, she taught at the University of Minnesota , Iowa State College, and the University of Tennessee . In addition to holding the position of Acting Dean from 1942-1944, she remained Chair of the Home Economics Education Department (1929-1960) and retired from NDAC in 1960. She died in Fargo in 1989.
