In 1946 an Air Force unit was added to the Department of Military Science, making it the Department of Military and Air Science. The program moved from the College of Arts and Humanities to the College of Engineering and Architecture in 1994. As of the 1974-1976 Bulletin Aerospace Studies was listed separately from Military Studies (Army ROTC).
