Administrative History
 

When the School of Mechanic Arts was established in 1917, the following divisions were established: architecture and architectural engineering, civil engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, and physics. In the 1922-23 Catalog, industrial engineering is no longer a division and as of the 1923-24 Catalog. It was not until the 1954-1955 Bulletin, that the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management was added. In the 1962-1964 Catalog, Industrial Engineering and Management became just Industrial Engineering. In the 1974-1976 Bulletin, management is added back to industrial engineering to create then Department of Industrial Engineering and Management. As of the 1998-2000 Bulletin, Industrial Engineering and Management became Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering.

Scope and Content
 

The records consist of a history piece on industrial engineering at NDAC written in 1954 and recruitment/public relations material from the 1960s through 2004.
