Biography
 

Robert Littlefield received his Bachelor's in Education from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 1974, his Master of Arts in Speech from North Dakota State University in 1979 and his Ph.D. in Speech Communications and Political science in 1983 from the University of Minnesota.

Robert Littlefield has been a Professor of Communications at North Dakota State University since 1994. In addition to serving as Interim Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences from 1990-1992; he has been Chair of the Communications Department; Chair of the Department of Mass Communications, Speech Communications, and Theatre Arts; Director of the Institute for the Study of Cultural Diversity, Director of Forensics and Managing Director of the North Dakota Repertory Theatre.

He has served as the President of Phi Kappa Phi; he was the college representative on the Academic Integrity Committee, he received the Larry Norton Award for Outstanding Scholarship (Pi Kappa Delta National Forensic Honorary), as well as the Outstanding Research/Creative Activity Award, College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences.
