Biography
 

On May 1, 1992 he was named Associate Dean of the College of Agriculture, and Associate Director of the Agricultural Experiment Station. In October of 1993 he was named to a three year appointment as Dean of the College of Agriculture. Prior to coming to NDSU, he was a Professor and Head of the Department of Food Science, Penn State (1986-1992), and a Professor at the University of Nebraska (1969-1986). He earned his bachelor's in Chemistry from South Dakota State in 1965, both his masters (1966) and doctorate (1968) in biochemistry from Iowa State . In February of 1997, he resigned to take the position as Director of the Food and Agricultural Research and Technology Center at Oklahoma State University.
