Glenn C. Holm was born on December 17, 1909 in Idaho. He received his bachelor's and master's from the University of Idaho (1932, 1933). In 1936 he received his doctorate in veterinary medicine from Iowa State. He was a Professor of Veterinary Science at the University of Idaho from 1940-1947. He was the Associate Director of the Agricultural Experiment Station at the University of Idaho from 1947-1949. He joined the NDAC faculty as a Professor of Bacteriology and Veterinary Science in 1949. On July 1, 1953 he was appointed Dean of the School of Agriculture and Director of the Agricultural Experiment Station. He resigned in 1956 to become Dean of Veterinary Medicine at Oklahoma A&M, Stillwater, Oklahoma.
