General Information

The records/papers collecting program of the University Archives preserves organizational records and faculty papers of enduring historical value to support the university mission and the research needs of academic and administrative units, under- graduates, graduate students, faculty and other scholars at N.D.S.U. and beyond.

Research Tools

The primary research tool to aid researchers in locating useful material is the electronic Finding Aids to the collections, which are organized in a single alphabetical listing and by organizational topics. Some materials are cataloged in ODIN.

Access
The records/papers collections are available for research in the Institute/Archives research room, and reference staff is available to assist in your research needs. Copying facilities are also available. A number of collections are kept in off-site storage. At least a 24-hour notice is needed to make these collections available for use.
