**The Chapter's money is in an interest-bearing account, and a fee is charged for depositing too many checks.  This is unavoidable during membership renewal periods.  The account earned more interest than was paid in fees in previous years.  The recommendation was to keep the current account rather than switch it to a no-fee/no-interest account.

Our fiscal year is September 1 - August 31.  Members receive their renewal forms in August.
