About the Committee
Membership shall consist of one faculty member from each of the representation units (except the College of University Studies), two students, a representative from the Staff Senate, a representative from Information Technology Services, and the Director of the NDSU Libraries.

Committee responsibilities are to formulate policy recommendations for the NDSU Libraries relating to areas such as general operations, interlibrary loans, borrowing privileges, periodicals, acquisitions, media, databases, and electronic and other services.

FY 1996-97 Agenda
This year the Committee divided into subgroups to work on recommendations generated by last year's Report to the University Senate. The Committee will work on them in the following order:

1. Recommendation #5 -- Increase NDSU Libraries Appropriated Budget (Team: Brewer, Hodgins, Christianson, Kowalski)

2. Recommendation #3 -- Implement User Fees for Some Library Services (Team: McCourt, Galitz, Mahinfala, Hodgins)

3. Recommendation #4 -- Receive Grant Indirect Costs (Team: Galitz, Kowalski, Vijayasarathy, Mahinfala)

4. Recommendation #10 -- Develop Policy Guidelines for Acquisition/Expenditure of Internally-Generated Funds (Team: McCourt, Galitz, Brewer, Soderquist)

5. Recommendation #2 -- Request a Portion of the Technology Fee (Team: Soderquist, Vijayasarathy, Halverson, Peterson)

6. Recommendation #7 -- Support Faculty/Staff Development in the Area of Electronic Publication (Team: Ross, Peterson, Christensen, England)

7. Recommendation #6 -- Expand and Develop NDUS System-wide Cooperative Efforts (Team: McCourt, Bremer, Ross, Kowalski)
