Water from Above

If there is minor water leakage from above:

1. During work hours notify your supervisor and/or the Administrative Assistant (1-8352) or backup to contact Physical Plant (231-7911) to address the problem.

After hours notify your supervisor and/or contact Physical Plant (231-7911) yourself.

2. Cover shelves and cabinets with plastic sheeting located in the Disaster supply cabinet or place buckets under leak.
3. Move endangered records to a dry location by using hand truck, dolly, or book truck.
4. Clean-up area (mop up standing water, etc.).
5. Give any damp library materials (monographs, serials, maps, etc.) to Cataloging for initial processing.
