| The NDSU Library reopened August 7 with
limited service after being temporarily closed due to a flash
flood on June 19. Damage to the lower level was extensive. Currently,
the services available to the NDSU community are:
- The reference room, book collection, and
government documents print collection are available for use.
- NDSU faculty, staff, and students can request
articles and books through NDSU Libraries' Interlibrary
Loan office. Please do not attempt to acquire interlibrary
loan service from Minnesota State University Moorhead or Concordia.
- Many full text articles are available by
searching databases through Gale or WebPALS
- NDSU faculty, staff, and students can order articles
from most NDSU journals using the
Carl Uncover "SUMO" system. Some of these articles can be
sent by fax and some can be sent electronically. Articles are
often delivered the same day that they are requested from CARL.
- The address of the NDSU Uncover gateway (the dedicated
connection to CARL Uncover) is:
http://www.gateway.ingenta.com/nodaksu
- Instructions for using SUMO are available at:
http://www.lib.ndsu.nodak.edu/fact/sumo.html
http://www.lib.ndsu.nodak.edu/reference/reveal.html
- Staff at the Architecture/Landscape
Architecture, Chemistry,
and Pharmacy/Nursing
Libraries can help you with searching the online catalog and other
databases, renewing Library materials, and many other questions.
(These Libraries were not damaged by the flood.)
As additional services become available,
we'll add them to
this list.
