Microfilm and microfiche
are housed on the lower level of the Library. Topographic
maps are also located in this area.
Microfiche and
microfilm store information in a highly condensed format.
Microfiche is a plastic sheet the size of an index card, and
microfilm is on a spool. The materials are in metal cabinets
and arranged by Dewey Decimal call number. Machines to view
and print from the microforms are located next to the cabinets.
There is a help
desk in the Microforms room for your convenience. If no one
is available at this desk, ask for assistance at the Reference
Desk.
