Maps and Floor Plans
The Circulation Desk is located just inside the
front door. This desk is where Library materials are checked out
and returned. Materials placed on reserve by an instructor are
obtained at the Circulation Desk.
The computer terminals located in the main corridor
contain author, title, and subject information on the book and
audio-visual collections in this Library and in the Chemistry,
Architecture, and Pharmacy Libraries on campus. You also can search
several magazine indexes and databases of other libraries on these
terminals. The NDSU Libraries do not have card catalogs.
The Interlibrary Loan Desk
is across from the terminals. If a book or periodical is not available
in the Libraries' collection, it may be available from another
library in the Fargo-Moorhead area, or at other North Dakota libraries
or libraries in the region. Interlibrary Loan can borrow these
materials for you. Fill out request forms at the Interlibrary
Loan Desk. You may send and receive telefacsimiles (faxes) at
the Interlibrary Loan Desk.
Below the "Reference" sign is the Reference
Desk. Reference librarians are here to assist you in using the
Library. The Reference Room contains encyclopedias, dictionaries,
periodical indexes, atlases, and many other reference materials.
Also located on the main level are the Multi-Purpose
Room (Room 110), the Libraries' administrative offices, IT Department,
ordering and processing departments, photocopiers, and a change
machine.
